October 23, 2017• COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY HCC hosts championship meet The Maryland JUCO/NJCAA Region XX championships were held Saturday morning at Hagerstown Community College. The Harford men’s team won both the conference and Division 1 region titles in the race, led by overall individual champ Hassan Eissa, who completed the 8K course in 27:15. The HCC men finished fourth in the conference and third in the Division 1 region team standings. The Hawks were led by Keith Gasior (32:07) and Jordan Weschler (32:41), who placed 19th and 20th overall in the field of 48 runners. HCC only had one runner in the women’s 5K race. Bethany Lohman placed 34th out of 48 in 26:45. Howard’s Abigail Starks was the overall champ in 19:32. The women’s team champs were Harford (conference), Northern Virginia (Division 1 region) and Westmoreland (Division 3 region). The Division 3 region men’s champ was Allegany.
