The Hagerstown Hawks opened their season on the road yesterday, sweeping Cecil College in 3 sets to win the match, 25-7, 25-14 and 25-11.  Anniya Grantham (16) lead the Hawks executing 6 kills, with Katie Morgan (13) and Payton Downie (4) adding 5 kills a piece.  Aliyah Dorsey(2) held the defense with 14 digs.  Madison Baker (7) had 18 assists and Macie Chrisman (18) served up 6 aces.

Hagerstown travels to Perrysburg, OH to compete in the Owens Express Invitational, sponsored by Owens Community College, on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday September 5th.  In Saturday's matches, the Hawks will face the College of DuPage and St. Clair County CC, and Sunday they will face and Owens CC and Muskegon Community College.

The Hawks open at home on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the ARCC, hosting the Anne Arundell CC Riverhawks.
