It was a familiar sight that the Lady Hawks found themselves in as the clock struck 0:00 in the second half of their away game at Garrett College as they won another in-conference match against the Lakers by a score of 2-0. Sticking with the theme of familiarity, it was too appropriate that the same two freshman that have been dominating headlines this season were the ones helping the Lady Hawks score their two goals in the first half. True Benshoff scored the only 2 goals of the match while both were assisted by Peyton Miller. But according to Coach Clifton Williams, the real MVP of the game was freshman goalkeeper Michaela Shindle (Williamsport HS), and the rest of the team echo that sentiment. She recorded 20 saves on the evening to keep the shutout intact. It seems the Hawks are clicking on all cylinders at the right time as they move forward to their next opponent, the Ocean County College Vikings. They will be making the trek north to New Jersey this Saturday, 9/28 for an out of conference matchup slated to start at 1pm. GO HAWKS!!
