Lady Hawks Soccer wins at home vs. Cecil

Hagerstown Women's soccer came ready to play on Friday, September 7th.

Through the first half, the Hawk's scored five goals from four players.  Megan Smith found the back of the net at the 8th minute; Olivia Zisa finished  a cross from Quinn Beck in the 10th minute; a corner kick from Quinn Beck, bending the ball into the goal, put the Lady Hawks up 3 goals in the 19th minute; Rachel Lear launched a powerful shot from 30 yards out, to push the Hawks to 4-0 in the 25th minute, along with a second goal, collecting the ball outside of the 18yard box and driving it into the lower left corner of the goal to give the Hawks a 5-0 in the 40th minute of the first half.

At halftime, Coach Williams, asked his team to play with more control, wanting them to find space in the defensive line, providing better opportunities for scoring chances within attacks of play.

In the second half, the Hawks regrouped  with control, as they executed the halftime plan. Finding space in the defensive line opened up more scoring opportunities.  Megan Smith scored her second goal in the 51st minute on an assist from Quinn Beck; Katie Kriner ripped off a 20 yard shot in the 60th minute; Maggie Alvarez finished a shot inside of the 18-yard box area, giving the Hawks an 8-0 lead;  on a pass from Megan Smith, Quinn Beck opened up her run, causing a miss on the goalie, to push the lead to 9-0; and Taylor Mauck pushed the ball into the back of the at the 87th minute, on an assist by Kamren Griffin. Hawks goalie, Chloe Hadley had another shutout, and the Lady Hawks finished the game with a winning of score 10-0.
