Hawks sweep Cardinals with Brown throwing a one hitter

The Hawks scored seven runs in the first inning and one run in the fourth in game one of a doubleheader yesterday to secure an 8-0, 5 inning win over CCBC Catonsville. Jordyn Brown pitched a one hitter, striking out 10, to earn her 100th strikeout of the season. Madison Heuer lead the offense, going 3-3 with two triples and two runs scored. Morgan Kolich and Madison Bailey each ended the game with two RBI's.  

In game two, HCC scored six runs in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth and two in the sixth to secure the 12-6 win. Madison Heuer had a double, a triple, a walk, two runs scored, and 4 RBI's to lead the Hawks. Kaylyn Cochran was 3 for 3 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Ashley Palmer and Adrianna Beeler each collected two RBI's.  Beeler got the win, pitching four innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, one walk, and striking out 5. Jordyn Brown pitched three innings in relief, allowing three hits on two runs and striking out seven. JB ended the day with 17 total strike outs.  

The Hawks play Saturday, April 23rd at home against Rowen College of South Jersey (Gloucester) at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
