The Hagerstown Men's Soccer team got off to a great start when visiting the Cecil College Seahawks on Thursday night (9/26) as they worked their way to a 2-0 lead at halftime. Freshmen Ben Rankin and MJ Ribis each accounted for a goal and were feeling the momentum on their side during the intermission. The tide quickly turned less than 10 minutes into the second half as Cecil College went on a 3-0 run, scoring all 3 of their goals within 5 minutes of each other (52nd through 57th minute). This allowed them to buckle down and play solid defense until the final whistle sounded in a match Cecil stole right out from under the Hawks by a final score of 3-2. Hagerstown will have a period of rest and recovery until they are back at it again traveling to Penn State-Beaver in an out-of-conference matchup on 10/2 to take on the Nittany Lions at 3pm.
