Hawks pitching prevails against Shenandoah

Hawks pitching played a major role in the two game sweep of the Shenandoah University yesterday afternoon.

In game one, Noah Tabaie (2 strike outs) and Wyatt Freeman (3 strike outs) combined to hold the Hornets to 2 earned runs off of 5 hits in the 9-3 victory.  Chanse Phillips and Rhoan Bromfield each had 2 RBIs for the Hawks offense.

Four Hawks combined on the mound in the second game 4 hit shut out. Todd Stocks pitched 3 innings, and was relieved by Brooks Aleshire, Maddux Grove (3 strike outs) and Davis Lowman to hold the Hornets scoreless. Corey Walters hit a timely double, in the 6 run second inning, to break the game open for the Hawks. TJ Kalagher and Joshua Rush each had 2 hits in the 9-0 win.

Hagerstown travels to CCBC Essex, in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, April 9th for a doubleheader starting at 12:00 p.m.
