NORTHEAST, Md. — Hagerstown Community College moved into the Region XX Division II finals next week with its win over Cecil on Sunday to take the best-of-3 play-in series, 2-1.
Killana Wallace led HCC (24-15) with two hits and three RBIs. She also walked and scored two runs.
Cierra Beaver started and went four innings before Emily Talbert closed the door in relief with three hitless innings, allowing three hits and striking out two.
HCC jumped to a 5-0 lead with two runs in the second inning and three in the fourth, then applied the finishing touches with two in the seventh.
